About the Manual
The National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) Floor Covering Reference Manual has evolved into today's comprehensive and nationally recognized information source for floor covering specifications and installation guidelines.
Use the 11 architectural specification guides in building instructions to ensure proper procedures are followed for the installation of resilient, carpet, hardwood, laminate, bamboo and cork floor coverings.
Chapters in the manual also clarify scope of work and job site responsibilities such as moisture testing, floor flatness, sub-floor preparation, installer certification requirements and bonding. See list of contents below.
Also included is the NFCA Quality Assurance Program (QAP), a third party floor inspection service which assigns a certified floor inspector to the project to ensure NFCA standards and manufacturer installation guide lines are followed before, during and after installation.
